QA/QC Mechanical Inspector (FPSO)(Tuas-Singapore)

Responsibilities:
Support in monitoring the implementation of the Bumi Armada's Project QMS, including quality plans and procedures, to cover fabrication/construction, installation, and turnover.
Implement the FPSO Project ITPs, covering all key project activities, contractors and work locations.
Conduct ITP inspection and surveillance activities at the various workshops and site, review and comment on the inputs and outputs from contractors inspection & surveillance programs.
Monitor, review and formally report to the Project QA/QC Manager and QA Engineer with respect to contractors ITPs, NDT results, NCRs, Audit follow up actions etc.
Support the audit plan which combines and coordinates the project’s plans to assure compliance with the project QMS and the contractors and vendor’s QMSs.
Monitor the status of audit/review action follow ups ; conduct in process and final release inspection of completed items ; review mechanical test packages.
Support QA/QC on site, TPI functions, quality development, awareness and assigned activities throughout the project.
Perform mechanical documentations to ensure all necessary records are documented and maintained in proper manner.
Verify inspection requirements for FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).

Requirements:
B.Sc/HND or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline (e.g. mechanical engineering).
Minimum 10 years project experience in the design, construction and commissioning of FPSO, refinery, petrochemical, shipbuilding and repairing industry related projects as a mechanical engineer.
Demonstratable experiences in Quality Management Systems and a sound working knowledge of ISO 9001(2000).
Experiences in supervisory and coordination of QA/QC functions.
Mobility to travel to all project locations as required.
People skills to interface/communicate with, and influence, a wide variety of contacts such as contractors, vendors, client, project team and management of different cultural backgrounds.
Effective team player in working with project staff, contractors and clients in the FPSO project.
Professionally qualified and experienced to ensure that the QMS requirements are delivered effectively and credibly.
Proficiency in English comprehension, composition and verbal communication ; in Microsoft Office usage.
Familiar with mechanical construction materials and construction methods ; dimensional control of equipment installed; coordinating and leveling ; pipefitting and installation of static and rotating equipment.
Familiar with alignment activity such as left alignment, right alignment, center alignment, grid alignment, visual/optical alignment, breaking alignment, laser alignment.
A contract position.
